“We were devastated to hear of the passing of Chairman Venne. Carl was not only a trusted ally in our Many Stars Coal-to-Liquids venture, he was a true friend, a great representative of the Crow Nation, and a wonderful man,” said Allan Blood, Chairman of Australian-American Energy Co. LLC.
Blood and other AAEC executives were in Billings on Sunday when they received word of Chairman Venne’s passing. They were scheduled to have breakfast with the chairman and other members of the executive branch that morning.
“Carl always made me feel like I was a member of his family and I was looking forward to our meeting,” Blood said. “Being able to spend time with him was always a highlight of my trips to Montana. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the Crow Nation.”
