Many Stars CTL (Coal-To-Liquids) is an energy development project led by Australian-American Energy Company, LLC in collaboration with the Crow Nation.
Expected to be operational by 2016, the Many Stars project will use clean-coal technology – including carbon capture and sequestration – to produce 50,000 barrels per day of alternative fuels for domestic use.
These ultra-clean fuels, which include jet fuel and diesel, already have proven their viability with automakers and the military. They contain no sulfur or aromatics and are non-toxic and biodegradable.
The Many Stars Mine and CTL facility will bring significant economic benefit and jobs not only to the Crow people, but to the entire state of Montana, while also contributing to U.S. energy independence.
